Cloughjordan Circus Club are delighted to be working with a number of partners to bring this exciting programme of Funambulism (wire walking) workshops to Cloughjordan. “Wires Crossed” which will take place between September 2020 and March 2021.
Participants learn an accessible form of Wire Walking called Funambulism using a 4m pole for balancing.
Funambulism is a new skill that does not require special abilities, a certain level of fitness or a particular body type. Young people and adults will have the opportunity to become a surprising hero and face their fears, allowing themselves to learn to trust, and discover that you can do something impossible, one step at a time!
Funambulism lends itself to Covid-safe group work with a 4 meter pole ensuring physical distance that is fun, exciting and challenging! It allows groups to have a shared experience and build a collective atmosphere of mutual support, encouragement and achievement while staying within the bounds of safety and physical distancing. It can take place outdoors, and can be adapted for indoor sessions when the weather requires.
In 2023 we have classes in Fri 23rd and Sat 24th June and Sat 1st, Sun 2nd, Sat 15th July.
There are also opportunities to book additional session for youth groups, schools and community groups. We can organise workshop on a day or evening that suits you. Interested? Get in touch!
We know it is a challenge to find fun things to do for TY groups. TY’s in Co Tipperary can book a fun Creative Day Out with us.
24 students can come to Cloughjordan and take part in Wire Walking and Percussion workshops, all outdoors on the Village Green and our Ampitheatre
